Description
Pi Lo Chun (Bi Lo Chun) is one of China’s most popular and famous green teas. It is grown and produced in Dongting Mountain, Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Originally called "Xia Sha Ren," which means "scare people," the tea was renamed by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1654–1722). Finding the original name inappropriate, he bestowed the tea with the more elegant name "Bi Lo Chun," and it became a tribute tea.
